FAQ
Mansarovar Yatra is a pilgrimage journey to Mount Kailash and Lake Mansarovar, located in the remote regions of Tibet. It holds significant spiritual importance in Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Bon religions.
The two main routes for Mansarovar Yatra are via Nepal and via China. The Nepal route passes through Kathmandu and involves trekking over rugged terrain. The China route involves traveling through Tibet, usually via Lhasa, and is accessible by road.
The duration of the Mansarovar Yatra can vary depending on the route chosen and the mode of transportation. Typically, the journey takes around 15 to 20 days from the point of departure to the return.
The best time for Mansarovar Yatra is during the summer months, from May to September, when the weather is relatively mild and the roads are accessible. However, the exact timing can vary depending on the chosen route and local conditions.
Mansarovar Yatra involves trekking at high altitudes, often above 5,000 meters, which can pose challenges such as altitude sickness, extreme weather conditions, and rugged terrain. Pilgrims should be physically fit and adequately prepared for such challenges.
