Where is the Darma Valley?

Darma Valley is a pristine and lesser-explored region nestled in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand, India. Surrounded by towering peaks, lush green meadows, and glistening rivers, this valley is a well-kept secret that offers a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Darma valley is one of the beautiful valley in the Himalayas.

Tour Highlights:

The Kedarnath shrine, one of the 12 jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, is a scenic spot situated, against the backdrop of the majestic Kedarnath range. Kedar is another name of Lord Shiva. According to legend, the Pandavas after having won over the Kaurava in the Kurukshetra war, felt guilty of having killed their own brothers and sought the blessings of Lord Shiva for redemption. He eluded them repeatedly and while fleeing took refuge at Kedarnath in the form of a bull. On being followed he dived into the ground, leaving his hump on the surface.

Day-by-Day Travel Plan

From Kathgodam, a scenic 7-hour drive will take you to Pithoragarh, a charming town surrounded by lush greenery. On the way visit Kainchi dham, Jageshwar temple and chetai Golu Devta Mandir

Embark on an 3-hour drive to Dharchula, a town known for its strategic location near the Indo-Nepal border. Another 5 hrs will take you in darma valley by 4*4 transport.

After breakfast trek start to Panchachulli base camp or Zero point. By the evening back to Homestay for overnight stay.

After breakfast drive back to Dharchula, on arrival at Dharchula can visit Nepal and enjoy shopping. Overnight stay at Dharchula.
Return journey begins with a scenic drive to Tanakpur, a charming destination known for its panoramic views and River sports. On the way visit Lohaghat and Champawat.
